Over the years we have repeatedly given the house and its rooms a fresh shine.&nbsp;The style of our house, with the 5 en\u00b4 suit rooms, is a mix of modern and country. And the style of our language is English and&nbsp;German. Our Holiday-Home is located in Oughterard, only 27 km from Galway. It is on the shore of Lough-Corrib, the biggest lake in Irland. This place is not only considered the trout angler&#8217;s dream. It&#8217;s&nbsp;also the ideal place to stay for touring the west of Ireland or to relax and enjoy the beautiful nature&nbsp;scenery. After a few minutes walk you reach the town center of Oughterard, where you will find almost everything you need. From delicatesses offerings like the \u00b4Mc Geough\u00b4s Butcher&nbsp;Connemara Fine Foods\u00b4 , to a nice Bakery, &nbsp;two supermarkets and lots more. You certainly also find a range of nice, good &amp; cosy pups &amp; restaurants, &#8211; some of them with (irish) live music. Like hiking, cycling, rent a boat, golfing, cultural events etc., etc.. Our house is ideally located for going on loop tours to discover the beautiful nature of Connemara. For example from Oughterard you can start your tour to the \u00b4Great Western Way\u00b4 and also to the \u00b4Derroura\u00b4 off road trail. Some of the most beautiful mountain-tours can be started after a short drive from Fough-East. Such to the \u00b4Maumturks\u00b4 (after ca. 25 Minutes drive) and the \u00b412 Bens\u00b4 (after ca. 40 minutes drive). Maybe you fancy some culture? Ireland is full of great history and even greater stories. You can find that everywhere. For example in Galway, about 30 minutes from Fough East. Big exhibitions and cultural events take place here regularly. Such as the internationally famous Galway Arts or Oyster Festival. Or you can simply enjoy a shopping tour or a organized food tour, followed by a nice pub hopping. And, &#8211; for some the most important thing -, fishing at the Lough-Corrib, which is in very close walking distance to our house. In summary: one island, many faces.
